Bar Feed Collets
iSwiss offers bar feed collets for the following Bar Feeder manufacturers: CAV/Citizen, FMB, IEMCA, EDGE, LNS, TRAUB, TORNOS, CUCCHI, TOP AUTOMAZIONI and INDEX MS

iSwiss bar feed collets deliver reliable performance, minimized waste, and extended tool life across demanding production environments. Built for accuracy, durability, efficiency, and to meet every application need— from standard round bars to profile stock, tube stock, and other specialized options such as long-life, Internal gripping, emergency, cone collets, and Vulcanized Collets.

Long-life collets are engineered with a thin-wall, closed-form design that maximizes bar feeder capacity while ensuring secure clamping at high rotational speeds. Their slotless construction provides exceptional durability, reducing wear and significantly extending service life compared to conventional thin-wall collets. Suitable for round, hex, and square stock, they deliver reliable performance in high-volume, high-speed machining applications.

Emergency Barfeeder Collets are specially designed rubber collets that can be quickly and easily sized by the customer. They provide a dependable temporary solution in situations where standard collets are unavailable. By allowing in-house adjustment, these collets help minimize downtime and keep production running until a permanent replacement is secured.
Additional Benefits
- Excellent noise and vibration damping
- Larger clamping range compared to standard collets
- Maintains strong grip even under high centrifugal forces
- Prevents scratching of sensitive bar surfaces
Preparation Instructions
- Drill the Hole
• Drill the collet to the required size based on the bar stock diameter. - Chamfer the Hole
• Apply a large chamfer to aid centering and ensure smoother bar insertion. - Size Tolerance
• The finished hole must be 0.0008″ to 0.0012″ smaller than the bar stock diameter.
• This ensures proper grip, stability, and accurate bar feeding.

ID emergency collets are designed for use with tube stock and are supplied as machinable blanks. They can be precision-turned to match the required internal diameter of the tube, ensuring secure feeding of hollow components while maximizing utilization of the bar feeder channel. In addition, these collets act as an effective seal, preventing coolant from escaping from the machine into the bar feeder. Offering a fast, versatile solution, ID emergency collets are ideal for urgent applications or shorter production runs where a dedicated collet is not available.
Preparation Instructions
To ensure optimal performance and accurate bar feeding, ID emergency collets must be correctly prepared before use:
- Turning
• Turn the rubber portion of the collet to the required size based on the internal diameter of the tube stock. - Chamfering
• Apply a large chamfer at the front of the bore to aid centering and provide smoother bar insertion. - Size Tolerance
• The finished turned diameter should be 0.0008″ to 0.0012″ larger than the tube’s inside diameter.
• This ensures a secure grip, stability, and accurate bar feeding.

ID bar feeder collets are specifically designed for use with tube stock, providing an internal gripping solution that maximizes feeding efficiency and coolant management. By engaging directly with the internal diameter, they enable secure feeding of hollow components while ensuring optimal utilization of the bar feeder channel. When equipped with a vulcanizing option, these collets effectively seal the bore, preventing coolant from escaping from the machine into the bar feeder.
